Thinker Tribe: Elevating Play-Based Learning Through E-Commerce
Challenge
Thinker Tribe, founded by Maryjane and Katherine in 2020, is dedicated to creating enriching learning experiences for children through play. With backgrounds in early childhood education, the founders incorporate play-based learning techniques, including open-ended toys and Montessori and Waldorf approaches, to inspire at-home learning. Their mission is to source high-quality, imaginative toys from around the world that promote creative and meaningful play for children and families in the Philippines. Thinker Tribe aims to redefine imagination and play by curating exceptional products for its community.
Solution
To support Thinker Tribe's mission, a Shopify website was proposed to streamline its e-commerce operations. Shopify, known for its user-friendly platform and customizable features, would allow the company to showcase and sell its products with ease.

Website Development: Shopify Implementation
The website development process began by establishing the project’s purpose and goals, aligning the design with Thinker Tribe's objective of selling Montessori-inspired products to customers in the Philippines. Research and inspiration gathering guided the design direction, focusing on a clean, professional aesthetic that would resonate with the target audience of parents and educators.
A rough website layout was first sketched to visualize the site's structure and user flow, including dedicated sections for product categories, a seamless shopping cart and checkout process, and an about page to introduce the company’s mission.
To bring the design to life, a Shopify theme was carefully selected for its clean design and robust e-commerce functionality. The theme was then customized to reflect Thinker Tribe's brand identity, incorporating original branding, imagery, and content.
To ensure an optimal user experience, thorough testing was conducted across various devices and browsers, with refinements made as needed. The final website successfully met the client’s goals, providing a user-friendly platform for customers while supporting Thinker Tribe's mission to redefine play and learning.
